Students who have a reading deficit, are blind, visually impaired or have a physical disability receive equitable access to grade-level content at their fingertips. Students receive unique login credentials, allowing them to download any of our audiobooks to their personal online bookshelf, giving them 24/7 access to our game-changing assistive technology.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I save my downloads to an external drive?
Yes! It is very easy to change the storage directory for your downloads. In the audiobook app, go to Settings, Advanced, Storage Directory and select Browse. Navigate to the drive that your external drive is connected to and select it. Select save new settings, and you are done! Just remember to have your external drive connected to your device when you want to listen to your downloaded audiobooks.
How do I cancel a download?
Please follow these steps to cancel a download:
Select the Profile Menu.
Select Manage my books.
Select the “X” next to the download you want to cancel.
Select Yes, Delete.
Select Done.
Can I download audiobooks that are 2 GB or larger?
If you need to download an audiobook of this size, please use the iOS, Mac or Windows version of Learning Ally Audiobooks. The Android version does not support audiobooks that are 2 GB or larger.

Can I read an audiobook without Internet access?
Yes! You do not need internet access to read an audiobook. Just download your books from the bookshelf before going offline.
How do I delete audiobooks?
To delete audiobooks from your device, navigate to the Profile Menu and select Manage my books. Simply tap the X icon on each audiobook to delete. Select Done when you are finished.
How do I change the default playback and text settings?
Change the default settings:
Select Profile Menu.
Select Settings.
Customize your Reading and Accessibility settings.
Select Save.
Change individual book settings:
Open a book.
Select the up arrow (Mobile only).
Select the Settings icon.
Customize your Playback and Text settings.
How do I add new audiobooks?
With a Wifi connection, adding books to your bookshelf is easy! From the Profile Menu, the Book Cover view, or List view, select Add Books. Search for and add new books to the bookshelf right from the device’s browser. Select Update my books in the Profile Menu to view your newly added books.
Can I save my downloads to Google Drive?
If your environment has strong bandwidth, the audiobooks can be saved to Google Drive.
Does my reading progress, notes, bookmarks, and vocabulary sync across devices?
Yes! With an internet connection, your reading progress, notes, bookmarks, and vocabulary sync across compatible devices.
Are there different ways to view the books on my bookshelf?
Learning Ally Audiobooks comes with two great ways to view the books on your bookshelf. The default is book cover view, which shows book covers and titles. You can also switch to a list view that provides more details like author, progress, file size, and audio type. The list view is optimized for screen readers.
I’m a teacher and want to see my students’ progress on books being read. Where can I find this?
While connected to Wifi, your students’ reading progress syncs to the educator portal. The data updates nightly. Log in to your educator portal account to view your students’ progress.
I share the app with more than one student, is there an easy way to switch users?
Yes! To switch users in the app, navigate to the Profile Menu and select Switch User to log in as another user.
