SB 13 Library Guidelines
The state of Texas has new guidelines for our school library. As parents, you now have more access to your child’s library records.
Accessing & Monitoring Your Students' Library Information
- Parent users can log in using a provided URL for Destiny and their email address
- An access code is sent to the email, which expires in 10 minutes.
- Users can view current checkouts, checkout history, and block titles.
HELP NEEDED: According to guidelines in SB 13, our district needs 5 to 6 parent volunteers to form a School Library Advisory Council (SLAC). If anyone wishes to participate, please contact Mrs. Plants at karen.plants@covingtonisd.org. This committee will assist the district in ensuring that local community values are reflected in each school library catalog in the district. SLAC will meet 3 or 4 times a year.
Any community member may go to the Covington Library Website to view the list of current list of materials to be purchased and send your suggestions on the books in the list to karen.plants@covingtonisd.org.
2026-2027 Wanted Book Lists
